Henry The Hoover Range
The Henry Hoover has been around for a while now, almost thirty years in fact. The whole range of smiling vacuum cleaners are the products of Numatic International, a British manufacturer of vacuum cleaners. Every day they produce a staggering 4000 products, many of which belong to the Henry hoover range. Henry The Vacuum Cleaner
Henry the hoover is a dry vacuum cleaner for carrying out daily cleaning tasks around the home, however he is frequently found in schools, offices and hotels too. He offers great cleaning performance and his design has not changed much in thirty or so years he has been in production. He has a happy smiling face that will make him almost become part of the family (I know we talk to our henry in our household).

Do not let the smiley face fool you, Henry is very capable, this is thanks to his highly efficient and A rated motor and well-tuned accessories. He is more than capable of tackling the worst of household dirt.

Hetty Hoover
Hetty is the female counterpart to the Henry Hoover, up until recently she was identical in every mechanical and operational way, with the only differences being that she was pink, and had a more feminine set of eyelashes. Currently Numatic are introducing a new variant of Hetty with a six litre capacity, so it is worth double checking which one you are getting.

The above details refer to the newer HET160 model of Hetty (sometimes called Henrietta). The older version is otherwise the same as the Henry shown above. Both machines deliver exceptional performance with the on-board storage and reduction in size being the key differences. Harry Hoover
The Harry hoover brings something new to the Numatic range in the form of a pet hair tool called a Hairo Brush and an activated carbon filter. He has been re-engineered to ensure that he can tackle even the hairiest of places and come out on top. The activated carbon filter keeps odours from escaping his bag, ensuring your home smells fresh.

The Hairo brush is an additional accessory to the standard set that are supplied with the Henry range, so not only will he be great at getting stubborn pet hairs from your carpets and sofa cushions he will be just as good at cleaning your hard floors and skirting boards.
George Hoover
The Numatic George is your man if you need a vacuum cleaner that can actually shampoo your carpet and upholstery. Not only does the George hoover offer exceptional shampooing performance, he can also do dry cleaning just the same as the Henry, making him an incredible all in one package.

A larger 1060 W motor is fitted to George to help him deep with floods and spills, his drum capacity is also increased to ensure that he can hold enough shampoo, fresh water and waste water to clean efficiently. The only trade off with George is that he does not have a re-wind cable, but when the additional functionality is considered this really is not a problem. Charles Hoover
Charles is a great machine for those that just want a wet and dry vacuum cleaner to clear up spills and unblock sinks. He is also fitted with a 1060W motor as he is designed for use with water as well as dry cleaning. He comes with a generous accessory kit that allows him to do all the same jobs as the dry only machines with the added ability to work as a wet vacuum.

Having a Charles wet vacuum cleaner around the house can be really useful, especially if you have a lot of hard floors that may need drying after mopping or cleaning with a floor scrubber. Charles boasts a large 15 litre bag capacity and therefore uses different bags to the 9 litre machines. James Hoover
James the yellow vacuum cleaner is a great little machine from Numatic that offers a slightly smaller form factor than the other machines in the family. He has a compact 8 litre drum and a self-wind cable holder on his head, both of these elements combined make the James hoover smaller than the other machines.

This reduction in size does not equate to poorer performance though, he features the same motor as the Henry and packs a punch, working well on even stubborn dirt. Another great thing about the Numatic James is that he has aluminium tubes that are a little lighter in weight when compared to the stainless items.
Further info on the Henry Range
AutoSave
AutoSave meant that the vacuum cleaners that had 1200W motors would start in 600W mode every time they were turned on; you would then have to manually switch it to the higher power mode. The Latest generation of machines are fitted with 680w motors that are more efficient and therefore outperform the old machines that had 1200W motors making an AutoSave function redundant.
Vacuum Bags
Vacuum bags and filters are an important part of keeping your vacuum cleaner in tip top condition and maintaining its performance. There are many vacuum bags on the market including genuine Numatic items, and copy items made by other manufactures.
Same Size Accessories
Did you know that most of the accessories on the Henry Hoover range are cross compatible? Numatic standardised the whole family to a 32mm design, meaning that accessories from a Charles could be put on Hetty and vice-versa. There are even special accessory sets available for dog grooming and cleaning high ledges should you need them!
